Transfer a premises licence

You can apply to transfer a premises licence. If you are applying as an individual, you will need to provide proof you are entitled to work in the UK.

You will also have to return the old premises licence (or your reasons for not doing so) You will need the consent to transfer of the old licence holder (or reasons you are unable to obtain this consent).

You should return your old licence to: South Ribble Borough Council Licensing Team, Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 1DH

The fee for this application is £23. 

To apply, you should complete the transfer a premises licence application form.

The completed form should be sent to us by email to licensing@southribble.gov.uk. Alternatively you can post to South Ribble Borough Council Licensing Team, Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 1DH.

The Police have 14 days to raise any representations to the event. If no representations are forthcoming, the premises licence will be amended and returned. Any Police representations that cannot be mediated out will be determined at a meeting of the council's Licensing Sub-Committee.

Once your application is served, there is a 14 day consultation period. Usually, tacit consent applies, which means you can begin trading as soon as the application is made.
