Over 70 mile walk from Barrow-in-Furness to Leyland to raise money for local causes

Paul Foster, Leader of South Ribble Borough Council and Martin Carlin, Chair of the Leyland Town Team have chosen to take on the mammoth task in what is South Ribble Borough Council's 50th Anniversary year.

Having become a Council in April 1974, the walk is just one of the ways the council will be marking its birthday throughout the year.

Sponsorship contributions are being taken now for the walk which will be distributed to support the Andy's Man Club, a national charity who work to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and creates a judgment-free, confidential space where men can be open about the storms in their lives.
