Lancashire Tourism Awards 2023

After the successful event in 2023, Music In The Park was nominated in the 'Small Event' category at the Lancashire Tourism Awards, and took home the prestigious award.

The annual awards recognise the success and achievements of Lancashire's tourism and hospitality organisations in a wide range of categories, including small event.

Leader of South Ribble Borough Council, Councillor Paul Foster, said: "We are delighted to have won a Lancashire Tourism Award for Music In The Park in the small event category.

"The win is a huge achievement for the borough of South Ribble and shows just what we can achieve.

"Music In The Park is a relatively new event, initially taking place in 2022, being the first of its kind in the borough.

"The success of the event has gone from strength to strength and has brought new visitors from far and wide to see how amazing our borough is.

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to all of the officers that make Music In The Park, the great event that it is, to the people of South Ribble and beyond for supporting us to provide these fantastic opportunities to showcase South Ribble".

The winning event, Music In The Park, attracted over 3,000 visitors in 2023, with the 2024 event set to be even bigger, with headline acts including Billy Ocean, Jason Donovan, Heather Small and many more.

South Ribble Borough Council would like to extend a congratulations to the other nominees and winners at the Lancashire Tourism Awards, some of whom are based in the borough themselves.
