Apply for a change of taxi vehicle licence
If you are changing your taxi vehicle you will need to submit a change of taxi vehicle licence application online.
Before starting your application please make sure you have the following documents ready as applications cannot be submitted without these documents.
- insurance certificate, showing the vehicle is insured for public hire
- V5 logbook. If the full logbook has not yet been received, the V5C (green slip) is acceptable and you should provide the full logbook once received
- if only the V5C has been provided, a bill of sale, invoice or receipt
- original evidence of a Roadworthiness Test Certificate issued within the last 4 weeks that confirms the vehicle is fit. View our roadworthy checklist.
Once your application is received, a member of the licensing team will be in touch to arrange a vehicle inspection. A licence will not be granted without the vehicle first being inspected.
If you would prefer to have your vehicle inspected before you complete your application please call 01772 625625 or email licensing@southribble.gov.uk to arrange an inspection.
