South Ribble Together cost of living support
Supporting our communities and most vulnerable
Are you worried about the cost-of-living crisis?
A drop-in event for all residents will take place on Monday 28 November between 2.30pm and 7.30pm at the Council's Civic Centre in Leyland.
There will be a range of stalls from local and national agencies such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, Department for Work and Pensions, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Progress Housing.
Each one will have an offer of practical help and advice to support people through the cost of living crisis.
There will be tea and coffee with seating so that people can stay for as long as they like, as well as breakout spaces if people prefer a quieter space to talk.
The council will also be running a uniform bank and pop-up food shop (on a take-what-you-need basis) throughout the afternoon.
The Dr Bike team will be in the courtyard offering free bike servicing and minor repairs from 4pm.
