improved wellbeing for vulnerable residents.

Projects of particular interest
We are especially keen to support projects that address identified gaps in local services, such as:
-
transport solutions – raising awareness of transport options, helping people get out and about, ensuring residents can access community activities.
-
information and awareness – tackling the challenge of “not knowing what’s out there” by improving communication about local services, activities, and support networks, community champion initiatives or investment in community newsletters or noticeboards.
-
hard to reach – projects that aim to reach people who are not engaging in services, engaging more befrienders / volunteers across the borough.
-
technology support – providing guidance on digital skills, cyber security, and protection against scams. This could include one-to-one help with mobile phones or group sessions to build confidence online.
-
warm, welcoming spaces – creating places for people to go, especially during the winter months, where they can stay warm, meet others, and enjoy a friendly chat, for example; lunch clubs / clubs with hobbies / talks and presentations, guest speakers.
