Community Spaces Grants
We’re proud to launch the Community Spaces Grant Scheme, designed to invest in the voluntary and community sector across South Ribble. The scheme focuses on supporting vulnerable residents by funding projects that improve community spaces.

What the grant scheme aims to do
This scheme will invest in projects that;

build long-term capacity – helping voluntary and community groups grow sustainably.

improve or expand existing facilities – Improve or expand on community spaces so that more people can benefit from them.
Primary objectives

support the development and improvement of community spaces that provide accessible, safe, welcoming environments for residents, especially those who are most vulnerable.
Expected outcomes
-
stronger, better-connected communities with inclusive spaces for everyone.
Projects of particular interest
We are especially keen to support projects that address the following;

improve accessibility to community spaces - improve access to facilities so everyone in the community can more easily benefit from services.

expansion of indoor or outdoor facilities – such as a community café or creating accessible community gardens.

Warm Spaces – Creation of warm, safe, friendly spaces across the community

youth facilities – renovation or expansion of youth facilities
Apply for the Community Spaces Grant
Applications are completed using an online form which will take approximately 40 minutes to complete.
If using the system for the first time you will be asked to register before completing the application.
The application form will ask you to describe your project in detail.
You will also be asked to upload compliance information documents which will be listed before you begin the application.
