Support will be offered for:

Councillor Aniela Bylinski Gelder, Deputy Leader of South Ribble Borough Council said, “We know many of our residents continue to be affected by the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. Many people are finding it difficult to cope with the increasing cost of food, energy bills, and household expenses.

“We want to support healthy and happy communities ensuring there are opportunities for everyone, which is why we have launched this cost-of-living roadshow to help residents access free services and support when they need it.

“We’ve worked on a number of initiatives to support our residents already this year with the aim to help tackle issues before they become overwhelming, as well as providing emergency support to those in need.”

"This is the second time we have delivered the Together Roadshow this year, and just this month we delivered our school pop-up shops which provided free school uniform for families.”

The roadshow bus will have a friendly team on hand to provide financial advice and the council’s Gateway and Social Prescribing teams will be on hand to offer support and build confidence to manage your own health and wellbeing and address any other issues that may be impacting your day-to-day life.

Anyone wishing to attend can speak with a member of the team who will be able support you to access help through the council or one of its partners.

The support provided is free, confidential and is personalised.

Also, on hand at the Together Roadshow will be Dr Bike, who specialise in repairing push bikes. Most bike issues can be fixed on the spot, meaning you can attend the event and ride away on a bike that feels as good as new. Dr Bike will be there throughout the Together Roadshow except for Thursday 12 September.

The Household Support Fund is provided by the Department for Work and Pensions to support those most in need.

If you are in need of support, please do not suffer in silence. Come along to our roadshow bus or see the support we have available here.
