Important information for applicants
- Application deadline: Sunday 19 July
- Bids can be submitted for a maximum of £5,000 per event
- Events must take place between 1 September 2026 and 31 March 2027
- All applications will follow an evaluation proces
Priority will be given to events which:
- Have a positive community impact
- Deliver a high-quality cultural experience
- Support the local economy
- Celebrate South Ribble’s identity and boost pride of place
- Support inclusivity and diversity
- Consider environmental sustainability
- Align with the priorities in our Culture Strategy
Who can apply
- A voluntary organisation or community group
- Community Interest Company (CIC)
- Private Limited Company with no share capital and with community benefit objectives
Applicants must:
- Be based in South Ribble
- Have a group or organisation bank account
- Have appropriate insurance in place
The Cultural Events Fund is not appropriate for events that:
- Take place outside of the borough
- Have already taken place
- Are already in receipt of funding from the Council
- Are religious, political, for-profit or private events
- Have a negative impact on the environment
