Cultural events fund
South Ribble Borough Council has launched a new Cultural Events Fund for 2026/27.
The Cultural Events Fund has been established to support the development and delivery of high-quality cultural events that celebrate creativity, heritage and community life across the borough. The fund aims to enable local organisations and community groups to bring forward events that enrich the cultural offer, encourage participation, and strengthen pride in place.
By investing in a diverse programme of cultural activity, the fund seeks to support events that bring people together, showcase local talent, attract visitors, and contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of our communities. Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate clear community benefit, promote inclusivity and sustainability, and align with the council’s wider cultural and place-making ambitions.
Through this fund, the council aims to empower partners to deliver memorable, engaging and distinctive cultural experiences that enhance the borough’s cultural identity and support a vibrant, resilient local events programme.
