Supporting our communities and most vulnerable

If you are struggling with the cost of living crisis or have other worries affecting your household, you can contact our social prescribing team who may be able to assist and support you with practical support as well as assisting you to navigate local services.

Talk to our Team

The council has a Social Prescribing Team who are there to support you and build confidence to manage your own health and wellbeing and address any other issues that may be impacting your day to day life.

You can speak with a member of our team who will be able to understand if our service could help you, or whether we may be able to put you in touch with other services who are better placed to help.

The support we provide is free, confidential and personalised support that starts with you and guided by you. Once you have contacted us, someone will be in touch with you for a chat to get to know what we can help you with, from there we will sort out an appointment and support going forward. We want to support you in a way that works for you, so you will have the choice over if you wish to have your appointments over the phone or in person.

Here is an example of some of the issues we can support with:

  • money worries
  • housing issues
  • isolation / loneliness
  • employment / new skills
  • diet / exercise
  • mental health and wellbeing

How to get in Touch

The team is available between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday.  You can contact us at 01772 625286 or via email at
