How can I find out how polluted the air is near me?
The Government's UK Air website provides a daily air quality forecast provided by the Met Office. You can see air quality levels across the UK or put in your postcode and get data local to you. This site also offers health advice for those who need it, if the air quality is forecast as poor.
In South Ribble we have the South Ribble Public Air Quality Portal which lets you see real time data from our 3 zephyr monitors. These are currently positioned in Air Quality Management Areas at Turpin Green Lane and Golden Hill Lane, Leyland and Watkin Lane, Lostock Hall.
