Reduced service across Christmas
The Civic Centre and contact centre will be closed from 1pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025 until 9am on Friday 2 January 2026.
Social media direct messages will also not be manned during this time.
In an emergency
An out of hours emergency service will be available when the offices are closed. Please call 01772 625499 in a case of emergency.
Please do not report emergencies through social media.
Bin collections
You should have recently received a calendar on your bin outlining any collection changes.
Garden waste
Garden waste collections are now suspended until Monday 12 January. Each resident will miss two collections which allows us to focus the extra resource on collecting additional waste and recycling that is created over the Christmas period.

Leyland Market will be open on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays across the period.

Free parking
We want to encourage residents and visitors to spend time shopping locally and enjoy some of the delicious food and drink on offer in the run up to the festive period.
Free parking will be available from Friday 12 December to Christmas Eve at:
- Leyland - King Street, Ecroyd Street, Sumner Street, Churchill Way and East Street (not the Railway Station)
- Lostock Hall - Hope Terrace
