The popular event returns at South Ribble Borough Council’s Civic Centre in Leyland from Sunday 3 August to Thursday 7 August from 10am to 3pm.
Offering free school uniform for all schools across South Ribble, the event will also see the council’s social prescribing team on hand with several partners available to talk to families and to provide support.
Councillor Aniela Bylinski Gelder, Deputy Leader of South Ribble Borough Council said, “The school uniform pop-up shop is a brilliant initiative which allows for the community to come together and give back to those in need. The shop sees donations from right across the borough to other families who for whatever reason may struggle with the rising costs of school uniforms.
“For the first time, we are also including other support avenues as part of the event which we hope will create a space for people to come along and access support. Our social prescribing team, who in the last year have supported over 500 individuals will be on hand to provide advice, signposting and other support tailored to the individual circumstances.”
Please donate unwanted uniform at the Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, PR25 1DH. Donations will only be accepted between 21 July to 25 July 2025. All donations must be in good condition and clean.
The 2025 school uniform pop-up shop will also be the launch the council’s year-round school uniform service. This means families will be able to access school uniform donations throughout the year when they need it most.
Residents will be able to email into householdsupportfund@southribble.gov.uk requesting support. Once contact details are provided, the council’s social prescribing team will run through the application form.
