The hugely popular Penwortham Live event returns on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 May promising two fantastic evenings of local live music acts.
From acoustic sets and indie bands to rock, pop and emerging new talent, Penwortham Live offers something for all ages and musical tastes. The event will see 136 performances take place across 17 venues, with acts on every hour on the hour from 7pm to 10pm.
BBC Lancashire’s own Graham Liver will take to the event’s outdoor stage on Liverpool Road on the Saturday night at 8pm, with a DJ set featuring everyone’s favourite party anthems.
Councillor Matthew Farnworth, South Ribble Borough Council Cabinet Member (Parks, Events and Culture) said: “Penwortham Live is all about celebrating the brilliant talent we have locally and bringing people together.
“It’s a chance for residents and visitors alike to enjoy great music, discover new venues and support our local high street and community venues.”
Wristbands for Penwortham Live are £6 each (under 12s free, venue restrictions may apply) and get you into every participating venue for both event days. Wristbands are available to purchase from all participating venues and acts, plus the outdoor stage during the event.
Those travelling to the event should note that from 6pm to midnight on both evenings of Penwortham Live there will be a road closure in place on Liverpool Road, from the junction at Crookings Lane to the junction at Cop Lane/Priory Lane. Suitable diversions will be in place.
Penwortham Live is delivered by South Ribble Borough Council and the Creative Network through a long standing, successful partnership.
