South Ribble heritage trails

Welcome to the South Ribble Heritage Trails!

The Heritage Trails are a collection of guided walks of various lengths, presented as a series of downloadable digital guidebooks. Created with the help of local historians, each walk explores and explains the history and significance of long-standing local landmarks.

We know the Covid-19 pandemic has led many people to explore their local area much more, and many residents have become curious about local sites and the stories behind them.

If this sounds like you, simply download any of the digital guidebooks below to your smartphone or device, follow the trail maps provided and read all about these special local landmarks as you pass them.

Enjoy!
