We support a number of Friends Groups who carry out a range of environmental projects in their local green spaces on a voluntary basis.
Friends Groups play a valuable role in the upkeep and enjoyment of our parks and green spaces, helping us to maintain them to the highest standards. The activities they are involved in include many practical tasks including everything from community plantings to litter picks. They also play an important role in the improvement of our green spaces.
You can easily become a friend and meet new friends who share a passion for their parks, woods and nature reserves. If you would like to find out more or join your local park's Friends Group you can contact us via info@southribble.gov.uk
