The seats for all three parish councils were uncontested (see below) therefore there will be no further notices for these areas.
Uncontested Elections
An uncontested election occurs when the number of valid candidates is the same as, or fewer than, the number of places available for the election. The candidates are therefore automatically elected. There are uncontested elections in the following parishes / parish wards:
- East Ward of the Parish of Hutton
- West Ward of the Parish of Hutton
- East Ward of the Parish of Longton
- East Ward of the Parish of Longton
- Little Hoole Parish Council
- Much Hoole Parish Council
- Samlesbury & Cuerdale Parish Council
Am I registered to vote?
To be able to vote in elections you must be registered on the electoral register for South Ribble. If you are not already registered you have until 12 working days before the poll to make sure that you are registered which you can do by selecting the button below which will take you to the government website.
Voting by post
If you would like to vote by post, and do not already have a postal vote, we must receive your completed application by 5pm, 11 working days before the poll. To apply for a postal vote select the button below which will take you to the government website.

Voting by proxy
If you would rather have someone else who you trust, vote on your behalf you can appoint a proxy. We must receive your completed application by 5pm, 6 working days before the poll. To apply for a proxy select the button below which will take you to the government website.
