From 1 April 2026, Care Leavers aged under 25 and if their care was provided by Lancashire County Council will receive a 100% reduction on their Council Tax liability while they are living in the borough. Lancashire County Council will provide the council with the name, address and date of birth of eligible Care Leavers living in the area so that the reduction can be awarded automatically.
