Are you a small business looking to move or grow? South Ribble Borough Council can offer you a place to give your company some real Momentum.
The council has a number of brand new units for rent at Momentum Business Centre in Nook Lane, Bamber Bridge, in a scheme to generate income and promote the local economy.
The units measure between 636 sq ft and 729 sq ft and are competitively priced, with flexible leasing options available. They are also served by good transport links close to the M6 and M65.
One of the first tenants to move in to the new units is successful personal training company Evolve Lifestyle Academy.
Business partners Beverley McGonagle and Russ Costigan, who run Evolve, were won over by the centre’s location.
They were also impressed by the flexibility and space offered by the units, as it allows them to make use of their wide range of fitness equipment.
Beverley, 40, said: “The rent is reasonable and it was a bonus to us that the unit was new and so we’ve been able to fit it out to suit our needs.
“Our clients like it at Momentum Business Centre. It’s bright and light and easy to reach whether they’re coming from South Ribble, Chorley, Blackburn or further afield.”
The unit is one of seven recently purchased by the council, which is pressing ahead with an entrepreneurial investment strategy that includes increasing income from property assets, through rent and business rates.
Councillor Susan Snape, South Ribble Borough Council Cabinet Member for Finance, said: “The council has had to think of new ways of continuing to deliver the high quality of services residents quite rightly expect.
“A key part of our Corporate Plan is how we can come up with some creative ways of generating more income to pay for services - and one good example is the units we have bought on Momentum Business Centre in Bamber Bridge.
“We are delighted that the new tenants are settling in and want others to follow in their footsteps.
“The units are competitively priced, well located and offer flexible leasing options, providing a great opportunity for businesses looking to expand or move.”
