Bulky waste collections

We provide a special collection service for bulky items of household waste.

The items are collected by Exsel CIC, a social enterprise based in Lancashire, which exists to create jobs and prevent reusable items from ending up in landfill.

There is a charge to collect bulky items of household waste from your home. The charge for the collection of up to four non-electrical items is £16, with additional items costing £4 each. Electrical household items are currently charged at £12 per item.

Contact us by phone to arrange a collection. You will be given a date of collection at the time of booking so you know when to have your items ready. They should be accessible outside your home from 7:30am on your day of collection. The aim is to reuse as many of the items as possible, to please ensure they are covered up to prevent them from getting wet.

Please note that we are unable to collect the following items:

• Fixtures and fittings like kitchen units and bathroom suites
• Rubble and hardcore
• Garden waste
• Soil
• Tiles
• Tyres
• Car batteries
• Gas cylinders
• Hazardous waste

You can also dispose of bulky household items free of charge at the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Flensburg Way.
