South Ribble Skills and Training Grants
A grant of up to £1,250 is available to businesses in South Ribble to up-skill or re-skill employees by helping them to gain a vocational qualification or licence.
The grant can assist businesses to train new recruits or to train existing staff to fill skills gaps. This includes staff being trained on a recognised training course (a training course leading to a nationally recognised qualification or certificate from an accredited training organisation or professional body), which is not funded through any other programme such as an apprenticeship. Up to 10 people within a business can benefit.

All approved training must be completed by 28 February 2025.
Business Energy Efficiency (BEE) Scheme
The BEE scheme offers support to help businesses reduce their energy use, which will reduce business energy costs and reduce the carbon footprint of businesses.
The scheme can help businesses to:
- access fully funded energy use audits
- access grant funding towards the purchase of equipment to reduce their energy use.
BEE Scheme eligibility
The BEE scheme is open to businesses based and operating in South Ribble.
There are 3 levels of grant available, the award for approved applications will depend on the cost of the equipment specified in the energy audit.
Grant categories will be
- £500 (for expenditure of £500 to £999
- £1,000 (for expenditure of £1,001 to £1,999)
- £2,000 (for expenditure of £2,000 and above) to fund a contribution of up to 100%, of the approved costs up to the maximum grant.
Grants (for approved applications) will only be paid on receipt of a paid invoice and receipt for the approved, eligible equipment.
