What to do on arrival


Please do not attend the centre if you or a family member are unwell.

All visitors must register at reception upon arrival at the centre.

To avoid crowding, we ask that where possible you avoid arriving early for your pre-booked session.

Face coverings must be worn in all non-activity areas such as reception, corridors and changing rooms. Face coverings are not required while you are working out.

Social distancing must be maintained at all times. Signage is prominent to remind all users to maintain a safe distance.

 

All visitors are being asked to use the NHS COVID-19 app to check in to the centre.

Please arrive ready to train whenever you can.

Please sanitise/wash hands pre and post workout.

Please bring a pre-filled water bottle with you.

Sweat towels are permitted for personal use only.

 

Website and app


Changing management from SERCO has meant that we will temporarily lose website and app functionality.

Behind the scenes we are working on a brand-new website and app - but for now, all bookings will be done in person, via email or over the phone.

The staff at your local centre will be able to help you with anything you need.

If you use your app as your membership card, we recommend you take a screenshot of the card ASAP otherwise you a may lose it.

If you do lose your electronic card, staff at the centres will be able to help you on your arrival and will issue you with a new membership card.

 

Booking information


To allow for flexibility we recommend booking to guarantee your session. We are still required to control the number of people in the centre at any one time and ensure the safety of the staff and visitors.

Bookings can be made via email to leisurebookings@southribble.gov.uk or by phone to your local centre.

Please specify which at which centre you would like to make your booking on the email.

Gym slots are available to book 7 days in advance in 1-hour sessions. This includes access time and a 5 min turnaround period at the end of the session.

2-hour sessions can be booked however, we politely ask that you turn up within 10 minutes of your allocated start time to allow for others arriving at the same time to maintain social distancing within reception areas.

We are unable to operate fitness classes at the moment.

Anyone over the age of 14 years of age can make a booking to use the gym and studio. 

Anyone age 12-13 years can make a booking to use the gym and studio, but they must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellations

Bookings can be cancelled up to 2 hours before the start of your session time. Failure to cancel will incur a 'did not attend' record.

Any member not scanning or registering in for 3 sessions in a single month period will have their booking rights withdrawn for a period of one week.

 

 

Membership and fees


Direct Debit payment - 1 May 2021

Following our suspension of payments for the month of April as a welcome back gesture, Direct Debit payments for members of the centre will continue is normal this month. Given the Bank Holiday weekend, the payment should be collected on 4 May but may appear on your account as pending from 1 May.

In the interim we are being supported by our former partners SERCO in collecting the Direct Debit payment on our behalf, so please be aware that you will see SERCO's name appear on your account associated with the Direct Debit.

When the payments are due to be collected by the council directly soon, we will give all members at least 10 days' notice.

We recognise that some of you have found it difficult to get in touch with us over the last couple of weeks. If you have requested a cancellation of your membership recently and have not been able to get in touch with a member of the team, we can discuss your membership with you and refund this payment if necessary.

A team will be in place from Tuesday 4 May to review all questions we have received so far about memberships and will be contacting people to discuss.

Due to some centres being closed on Bank Holiday Monday, please be aware that any correspondence received 1-3 May will be looked at from Tuesday 4 May.

Who can I talk to about my individual membership and fees?

From 6 April, members will be able to call their centre directly for further information about memberships and individual circumstances.

When will my Direct Debit be taken?

No payment will be taken in April. Direct Debit members will see thier first payment taken in May on the date they have specified.

Will the pricing structure change?

No, prices for memberships and pay as you go sessions will remain the same.

I have cancelled my Direct Debit at the bank, what do I do?

We need a new Direct Debit Instruction from you. Please contact us and the team there will be happy to help.  

I am classed as high-risk, so I can't come back yet, what can I do about my membership?

We understand that it's not possible for everyone to return and we're happy to continue to freeze your membership. This will cost £5 per month. Please contact us and the team there will be happy to help.

I just don't feel ready to come back yet, what can I do about my membership?

We do understand your concerns and we're happy to continue to freeze your membership. Please contact us and the team there will be happy to help. Rest assured our centre is a very safe place to visit.

I've been made redundant; Can I freeze my membership?

Please contact us and the team there will be happy to help. As part of our Covid Promise we will be able to freeze your membership for free.

I no longer want to be a member, can I cancel my membership?

We do not want to see you go, please contact us so we can discuss your options. Please note should you wish to cancel there is a one-month notice period.

My contact details have changed, how do I update them?

Covid safety


We're following all safety precautions to make sure you can be safe on your return to the facilities and we'd ask that you follow all guidance when you're at the centre.

Please be aware that as per the guidance, the facilities are only for use by people on their own or in household groups. More information can be found at www.gov.uk/coronavirus.

Cleaning will take place at all centres daily and the self-cleaning regime will also continue. 

Wearing of face coverings will be required when walking around the centres.

During your workout

All members must clean equipment with the sanitising wipes/spray before and after each use. For free weights areas/Synergy 360 rigs, due to the high contact nature of these, we ask all members to sanitise/wash hands both before and after entering these areas instead.

Face coverings are not required while you are working out.

Spotting or buddy-training is only permitted within your household or support bubble.

All members and visitors must always maintain social distance and follow all instructional signage and requests from the Fitness Team.

Post workout

Wash/sanitise your hands immediately after your workout.

Please leave the gym promptly at the end of your session.

Changing facilities and showers may be limited.

Please remember to wear face coverings in non-activity areas, such as reception, corridors and changing areas after your workout.

We ask that you please wash your workout kit after each visit.
