Lateral Flow testing if you cannot work from home
Those who cannot work from home should be getting regular covid19 tests
If you cannot work from home, for example those working in:
- Care workers
- Supermarket staff
- Delivery drivers
- School staff
You can book a test at one of our Lateral Flow Asymptomatic Testing hubs.
- Lancaster Way Community Centre, Buckshaw Village (booking needed - call 01772 625 688 or email firstname.lastname@example.org) - Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
- South Ribble Tennis Centre, Cuerden Way, Bamber Bridge, PR5 6BJ (no appointment necessary) - Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
The aim of the hubs is to help keep essential workforces safe by identifying asymptomatic cases that could be unknowingly spreading the virus within their work setting or to the general public.
It is estimated that around one in three people might display no symptoms, but are still infectious. It is vital to break these chains of transmission and bring infection rates down.
Please note the testing sites are not open for the general public and is available for frontline workers only - we are utilising the testing capacity to ensure our approach is targeted and prioritised.
Helping businesses with regular testing for thier workforce
We aim to support businesses and services in providing the facility for frontline workers to undergo periodic rapid testing - until that business or service can establish its own testing regime.
If you do not already have a testing regime in place you can book a test at Lancaster Way Community Centre by calling 01772 625688 or email email@example.com and a member of the team will look to make this booking with you. For larger employers where possible we could look to block out time slots for your businesses if it is not convenient to book individual appointments.
You can also instruct your employees to be tested at South Ribble Tennis Centre Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with no appointment needed.

Lancashire County Council is also offering businesses the opportunity to register an interest in implementing a testing regime within the workplace. If you would prefer this method, you can now register your commitment.
