Playing Pitches

Follow our Twitter feed for weekly announcements about the conditions of our pitches.

The council provides a range of sports pitches across the borough for rugby league and association football.

There are a number of sports pitches in South Ribble's parks and open spaces, however, these are not available on a 'pay and play' basis. If you have a team that would like to play either football or rugby within the borough, you will need to contact one of the league representatives below.

Please Note: Parking for football teams and spectators using Worden Park is restricted to the main car park only. Parking of vehicles associated with football teams in other areas of the park or on Parkgate Drive is not permitted under the terms of the Pitch Hire Agreement.

It is recommended that you contact the league representatives by the end of June in order to be allocated a pitch in time for the start of the season in September.
